discovering the Past and present

along the klondike corridor

Join our time traveller hero, Tin Cup Kelly, as he explores the stories of past characters and encounters today’s amazing Klondike experiences.  In this on-going series, Tin Cup travels along the Klondike Corridor transporting viewers and future tourists to the Yukon and some sites in Alaska. Each episode highlights a historic site, event, current business or tourist attraction in the Klondike Corridor while relating stories from the past. Tin Cup's time traveling friend, Cookie Wilde, focuses on food in her videos. This vibrant “Then and Now” experience attracts Yukoners and visitors alike.

We strive to include as many businesses and sites as possible on this journey that inspires exploration and visitation of the wondrous Yukon Territory. The stories in this series showcase the great rewards sought by the stampeders during the Klondike Gold Rush and the very different rewards acquired by modern visitors to today's Pacific Northwest, Alaska and the Yukon – the Klondike Corridor.  Your business is welcome to participate.

Friends of the Klondike Corridor Group as a non-profit Yukon society was excited to receive support from the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) to fund our transmedia project aimed at promoting tourism and bringing visitors back to the Yukon.  With this project we created a YouTube series highlighting both the historical Klondike gold rush stories and the current tourism attractions and services throughout the Yukon, and in Skagway and Seattle.

All business and residents are invited to participate - share your story on YouTube - promote your products and services to visitors.  Please join us in sharing the story of risk, adventure and reward.
